Siblings
Today was S' younger brother (B) 75th birthday. Although he and his family are based in Melbourne, he and his wife (T) come back regularly to their house in Fidelis Avenue, something he can do as he has retired. T asked S if she would make B a cake with a golfing theme, as he plays a lot of golf.
When our children were young S always made birthday cakes with a theme. This was more of a challenge, but she not only met it, i think she made a great cake. The extra is a photo of the cake with the numerical candles as well as the flag showing the number of years; it could be the number of strokes in a round. The cake was loosely based on one of the holes in the Titirangi Course.
I chose as my blip, a photo of S, B and P (the elder brother). They were syanding on the grassed area between the house and the cliff. It had taken some time to find a spot where the light was good, without the sun blinding the siblings. Finding that spot may be the reason it took a half dozen photos before they all relaxed.
A really happy occasion. An excellent BBQ meal set off with great salads. And finally the cake.
