OOPS!
New Zealand time, this is a back blip. Yesterday was S' brother's birthday and we joined him and his wife for dinner at Little and Local in Snells Beach. That meant a drive north after work. The new motorway and the holiday season made it an easy drive. Driving back again as darkness fell tired me enough to defer posting until this morning.
Our table was right on the edge of the outside dining and I was entertained by a Kororo (Black-backed gull) after scraps in a rubbish bin. It had landed safely when I first saw it, and then it moved to have a different angle to scavenge from. That began a period of slipping and sliding without once having to fly away, nor falling off or into the bin. After some minutes it conceded and flew away.
The extra was taken on a walk in local streets before we headed north.
