Iced Primrose
Primula vulgaris
My first wildflower of 2025 - what fun! I hope we're going to do the WildFlowerWeek challenge this year. What do you think - would you like to?
It always surprises me how tough small flowers can be. There was a heavy frost this morning which had made the primrose petals slightly transparent, but this transparency disappeared as soon as the weather warmed up and everything dried a little. Blipped at the end of the garden, these are proper wild ones - I have never planted any, I simply welcome them. They seed themselves everywhere around here.
The rest of the day's been sorting and cleaning - exhausting but satisfying. I even managed to get the coffee stain out of the cream rug in my bedroom (I was reading yesterday afternoon and fell asleep with a full cup of coffee in my hand. The results were entirely predictable - oops!!)
Weekend tomorrow - have a happy one xx
