I am increasingly feeling the need to spend a decent bit of time quietly at home.  Right now I need it to help me shake off the latest lurgi which is still dragging me down.  Maybe after the funeral which is in a week's time, I will have a chance to do a bit of 'normal.'

A long lie in at Ruth's this morning before today's hospital appointment after lunch.  We were early again and no trouble parking but then waited 75 minutes after the scheduled appointment time before being called in.  Thankfully it was another good appointment.   All of which meant that I didn't leave Ruth's until 630pm.  The roads were fine apart from a stretch well into Wales as the road climbed into the snow fields.  Here the temperatures hadn't got above freezing all day (-5C at 9pm) and there was dry, icy snow across the road surface.   Gently does it was the order of the day and following a big lorry meant I came over slowly and safely.

Hopefully I'll soon have some more pottery ready to glaze but tonight it was good just to pick up and hold something I made before Christmas.
