Get It Right Next Time

Actually a picture from last night’s Dress Rehearsal, but due to the show running a good 15 - 20 minutes over, the “baking” scene is currently under threat and this might be the only time it is seen.
Second half was definitely too slow, so we have come back tonight for a second run through to see if we can speed it all up or if there will have to be cuts, after all.
Despite none of us really wanting to do this second dress rehearsal, there was quite good energy on the stage as none of us want to see lines we have spent weeks learning being cut just so the audience can get to the bar earlier! Admittedly, not having to wear costumes or makeup was a bonus, as was the lack of a junior chorus - the kids get excused because it’s a school night.
At the end of the night, we decided to go with the show as it is. But if opening night overruns tomorrow, then we might still lose something…
