Snowy Allermuir Hill
A very cold day today, but the sun is out. Conditions I prefer to the mild and grey conditions of a low pressure. Still quiet at work. Lunchtime, went down to another park to see what the conditions would be like. Only 25m less in altitude than my house, and there is no snow. Snowy Allermuir looks good. We returned via Cockmylane to our more local park, and back above the snow line.
Eldest son popped around with our Ikea order over lunch, so a bit of a diversion. Not very long as I have to get back to work.
After work, it is another wee walk around the park. It has gotten quite a bit brighter in the afternoon, the sun does set until nearly 4pm. There is a nice orange glow along the western horizon. We are getting our money's worth from the ice grippers, which work on everything apart from very hard black ice. The grippers don't work very well in the big wine shop either, so small steps required until we are out of the shop.
