Not the start to the day that I would have liked. I switched the central heating on and no heat. The pressure had dropped to zero and there was water dripping from underneath the boiler.

I took the electric heater into the living room, made a pot of tea, filled a hot water bottle and shut the doors. Then waited until the company that installed and services the boiler opened. Soon after 8.30 I had a promise that an engineer would be out today and he arrived around 2 o’clock. He’s done a temporary fix but it does need a new part and for the moment the house is warm again.

I didn’t get out to take any photos but did transfer yesterday’s camera ones from the memory card onto my iPad. Under the circumstances I hope you will allow this little infringement of the rules.
