Cold Call Close Call

A bitterly cold night left its calling card on the conservatory window.
More snow last night and a heavy frost but this morning was bright and sunny.
Elaine has been worried about her apartment as she left it with no heating on a week ago.
So today she went home, she wanted to stay for the company and l told her she could stay as long as she wanted but she made the decision to try and get her car onto the main road. Her fear was if she didn’t leave today it would be the weekend before she could try again as the forecast isn’t promising.

Later l drove to the post office to renew my passport as l might be going away for a few days next month. This has come out of the blue and it’s not confirmed but when l checked my passport l saw it would be three days out of the expiry limit. Glad l thought to check it

Main roads okay but the pavements were awful so l am glad to be home.
