Urca and Botafogo

Brazil is buzzing (at least in cultural circles) with the success of the film I’m Still Here in the Golden Globes for which Fernanda Torres won Best Actress - a first for Brazil. We visited the house featured in the film in Urca, following an article on the front page of O Globo newspaper - see extras. And then tried to see the film in a Net filmhouse in Botafogo. No luck, but we have tickets for tomorrow!

Botafogo in the early evening is a happening place with wonderful bookshops and pavement cafés.
