Tuesday: Takeaway

We had some very sad news this morning.  My beloved aunty, the one who has provided us with a base in Whitley Bay all these years, passed away this morning at the age of just 61.  Following an arduous course of chemotherapy for an aggressive breast cancer, she was given the all clear in September.  She was doing really well but started to feel unwell around Christmas.  The cancer had spread to her liver and she died this morning after a short stay in hospital.

It’s doubly cruel as she lost her husband, my uncle, very quickly to pancreatic cancer just a couple of years ago.

It’s been a difficult day so we just opted for Chinese takeaway this evening.
