Another cold day

I had to go to the bank this afternoon and thought about going for a walk too. But that wind was cold, the kind that goes right thru you. So I went for a drive to Eastern Passage for a few photos. At least when I go there I can park the truck, get out for a few minutes to get some photos, then back in again. I went looking for the common gull again at the mall parking lot, but all I could see was herring gulls and ring billed gulls.

I had a call this afternoon from the manager at one of the merchandising companies I work for. She wanted to make sure I can work the relines again this year. I was the first one that she called. She is hoping that the one that is lead for the Halifax stores will be back again this year. The one that does the Bedford/Sackville stores has been off sick, but she is hoping that she will be back for the relines. And one that has been helping for the past few years passed away a couple of weeks ago. Plus one of the helpers in the Antigonish area passed away this year. Kim wondered if we are getting old. It's hard to believe that I have been with the company for 13 years.

Tomorrow I start doing the cosmetics relines. I drop the truck off to get the repairs done, take a taxi or an Uber to my friends house, pick up her car and keep it until I get my truck back.

I hope the wind chills moderate some this week, I miss going for walks.

The landlord had her handyman stop by today, he will be here tomorrow to hook up a motion detector light that will come on when I come in the driveway at night. Plus he is going to get the railing on the steps this week. While he was here he checked my heat pump, and he says there is nothing wrong with it. He has 3 of them at his place, one on each level, and he has to keep adjusting them too. Part of why the floors here are cold, the landlord keeps her place cool.
