Mono Monday - ‘New’

Another grim day to wake up to weather-wise, and I eventually battled the wind and rain to whiz round Sainsbury’s before lunch.

It was my Tiptree book club meeting this evening, and six of us made it along to discuss the latest novel. The collective verdict was a thumbs-up for ‘Once Upon a River’ by Diane Setterfield, which we thought was a tale well told with well-drawn characters and a magical element to it. My blip for this week’s Mono Monday challenge shows our ‘new’ book for reading this month - ‘The Essex Serpent’ by Sarah Perry. It was my suggestion, as I have never got round to reading it despite meaning to for some time. I hope it doesn’t disappoint!
