Day Off

This is the one day away from Panto that I have this week, but it’s not a day away from the theatre. The auditions for Lancaster Footlights spring production are being held over the next couple of nights so this would be my only chance to try out for a couple of roles I had my eye on.
I hope I did ok - there was only one person I thought might be a serious rival, but I’d like to think I gave a more nuanced performance to the audition piece. Of course, there could be more people trying for that role tomorrow, so I’m just going to have to wait until I get a phone call or email at the end of the week to see if I’ve been successful.
No trace of any snow now, but it has turned bitterly cold - a state of affairs that is forecast to last for the next few days.
I managed to fit in a visit to the gym this morning, which wasn’t too bad as we had the rare luxury of the heaters being on. It was still only 13 degrees inside, but compared to the -3 temperature outside, it felt positively tropical!
