Cromer Pier
Grandson and I felt like taking a longish trip out and decided on Cromer. It was cold at around 2 - 3 deg C with a strong wind blowing from the west with patchy rain verging on sleet. The pier and turbulent sea looked inviting (for photography, not any form of immersion) so we parked and walked down the steep paths.
This part of the Norfolk coast faces NNE so it was possible to find some shelter, using various structures on the side of the pier, from the stiff westerly and avoid the camera and lens getting wet.
The main picture is of the pier before we made the descent and the extra is taken from about half way along. Understandably there were very few people about so it was easy to convey the sense of emptiness in the unforgiving weather.
Afterwards we treated ourselves to excellent fish and chips in the Number 1 restaurant and then returned home.
