New...

... tide, sweeping in very coldly! A brighter day and I braved a brisk walk around the circuit in a cold north easterly wind. Lots of serious snow in North Cork and South Kerry, chaos on the roads and many homes without electricity or water so we are counting our blessings.
Himself possibly feeling slightly perkier though helping me do my Australian visa (we're only in the country for 7 hours) was brain wrecking, so complicated.  He's chopped a bit of wood and is now making supper, the first time in 10 days, so that's an improvement.

It is of course Epiphany (and there is a massive star already glowing outside, actually a planet I suspect and probably Venus) . It is also Nollaig na mBan - Women's Little Christmas when the traditional roles are reversed and the women get a night off supposedly having slaved away all over Christmas not.  And - at some holy wells, the water is said to turn into wine at midnight. However, do not go out to look for you might well be petrified as as happened to a family on the Dingle peninsula - see those stones, yup that was them.
Thanks to Laurie54 for taking MM into the new year.
