Another manic Monday

After the bit of snow we had torrential rain, which rather scuppered lots of plans for today.
The floods are as widespread as we’ve seen them for a few years. No houses are affected in the village, just deep water in places on the roads, and the fields have disappeared. Cars trying every direction to get out and turning round and coming back.
Last evening we heard a loud bang and our lights flickered and someone has driven into the  fibre broadband box at the end of the road again. 
It’ll have to be fixed again. At substantial cost again.
Sigh. 
Anyway these horses and riders enjoyed a trot through the floods and the sun had  briefly come out so the light was nice.
Hope we can get out tomorrow we have plans to meet up with an old friend in Gloucestershire.
