Musing of a Lady

Windy Weather

Little Man had a language therepy screening appointment this morning in Reeuwijk, so he missed the first day of nursery.

We had to bike there as there isn't anything direct buses running between Driebruggen and Reeuwijk; the journey would have taken over three hours (round trip), and involved two buses and a train. It's part of living in a village, I guess.

The weather meant that it took longer to bike there than it would have on a calm day. The winds were in the area of 30 kilometres per hour (18.64 miles per hour) with stronger gusts. Little Man did splendidly with the wind whilst we were biking. I put ski trousers on him to give him an extra layer of protection against the wind. His appointment also went well.

We got home and have spent the afternoon just relaxing. I had another food delivery arrive. The supermarket I ordered from had quite a few items on discount that I usually buy, so I stocked up. My freezer is definitely full and I'm grateful that I have a standing freezer with plenty of space.

Things fall back into the normal term routine tomorrow, with Little Man starting at nursery. He loves it!
