6.5 inches of snow had fallen overnight, which meant that 17yo and I mainly just hunkered down inside for the day. At least that gave an opportunity to take down all the Christmas decorations.

I popped across the road to the churchyard on my way to the co-op, and encountered a snowbound nativity (extra).

Sleet and some rain continued to fall for much of the day; there was a bit of a thaw and by the time I walked 17yo back to her Mum’s there were some deep slushy sections to negotiate. Then another layer started to form as the day came to a close.
