Skyway

Over the years I have blipped the Scenic World Skyway gondola a few times but never from this angle. Also I may not have blipped this particular unit. The previous gondola looked very similar but was smaller.

The cable system crosses the Katoomba Falls Canyon between two stations. At one point they flick a switch and for those inside, the previously opaque glass floor seems to disappear completely, such that passengers appear to be standing, unsupported, in mid air. Interesting.

I had wanted to compose a shot with the car crossing in front of the falls. Right at this time of day, the falls aren't illuminated well and the angle is probably not right for a well composed shot of them both anyway. I shall have to keep working on it.
