Snow bother at all

Mostly a day of tidying and cleaning, with the weather trying to snow here and there.  The children were all out with their sledges and rolling huge balls of snow around to make snowmen.  Meanwhile I got togged up after lunch and cycled out to IKEA again.  Not finding either of the things I wanted – one was out of stock apparently and the other didn't seem to exist at all – I went to Sainsbury's instead, but what I wanted didn't exist there either.  Yet Argos, in the very same premises, had plenty to offer!

Mission partly successful I cycled home in dribbles of sleety rain.  The winter cycling boots were perfect kit because Mirabel the Green Bike's mudflaps aren't very long compared with my usual DIY alternatives, and my grey bike shoes would've been spoiled in the slushy spray.  And once again my feet were properly warm.

More tidying and it was time for tea and a soak in a hot shower.
