LACK hack
On yesterday's wee bike trip I bought two cheap IKEA tables, and today as planned I modified them a little bit. The top photo was me just starting out.
There was then a four or five hour gap in which Mum and Dad came round, and we went to the outdoors shop across town. I wanted to look for a bodywarmer gilet but I didn't find anything that was sufficiently cosy and my size and not megabucks, so in the end I looked at waterproof caps, but I couldn't find the one I liked last time. So we went to another outdoors shop where I found even less of interest, so we went for some lunch instead. After we motored back across town to mine, Mum and Dad went home and I went back into the garage to make a noise.
Some mitre sawing and table sawing and drilling and gluing later, I had shortened the legs of one table and plugged the ends to accept dowels that I fitted into the top of the other table. Hey presto, one hi-fi stand. It would be easy enough to stack another on top, and another and another, until one had enough shelves, but this one doesn't need to be any taller.
