Twelfth Day of Christmas

Rudolph, one of this year’s new decorations

There’s always a lot of debate as to whether Christmas decorations should come down on the 5th or 6th January. We’ve always gone for the 6th, though this year Christmas may need to be extended further. The elderly neighbour who always joins us for a full Christmas meal had to cancel coming on Boxing Day and then on New Year’s Day as she was unwell. We rearranged the date for today but I’ve had to postpone the lunch again until tomorrow. If I still feel like this tomorrow though then I’m going to have to postpone until Tuesday, in which case the decorations will be coming down even later.

Thank you for all your kind stars and hearts for my frosty and snowy blips. By the time I went to bed last night the snow had turned to rain, and today it’s been an incredibly mild day of 12 degrees, felt quite springlike. And now we have a yellow weather warning for heavy rain overnight. Good old British weather!
