Common Enchantments

Soup day

We love soup and finding new recipes to try that end up tasting fabulous is a big win for me.

This is cabbage soup with keilbasa that I found scrolling Facebook reels.  

Here is the recipe

4 strips of bacon and 3 cups sliced keilbasa (or other if you prefer).  Brown this in a soup pot.
Add a little chicken broth from a 32oz box of broth  to loosen pan drippings and browning stuck
Then,
2 carrots, 2 stalks of celery and one onion, diced
Chop up cabbage bite size. I used about 1/3 of a head, add it
Add the rest of the broth   I also added a can of drained chickpeas(garbanzo beans) because we like beans.

Salt and pepper

I did not use salt and pepper but Cavenders all purpose Greek seasoning. We like it on lots of food.

Simmer on low for about 30 minutes.  

It is goooodddd!!!    

I had a little deli loaf of olive oil and rosemary bread that we ate with it.
