A view from Jeanneb

Plenty of the white stuff!

They got it right for a change, it snowed all night starting just as went to bed last night. White everywhere and still coming down when we got up. I took this at 9.00 am of the back garden and patio outside the kitchen window.  You can see the depth of snow on the garden pots.
It stopped around 11.30 am and it has just been on the National lunchtime news that 16cm had fallen in Bingley - our nearby town which does have a weather station.

It’s supposed to turn to rain but it’s pretty treacherous out there, Chris has been up the village and the main roads have been ploughed but our estate is pretty bad.
Epiphany is celebrated today on the church calendar and I was supposed to be doing the reading from Matthew 2 telling the story of the visit of the magi. (Just seen on blip I was doing exactly the same on this day 11 years ago!)
All our benefice church services were cancelled for this morning, so back to the written service which has been sent out online since Covid or a Zoom service, also common during Covid.
Good not to have to go out.

Jude and Eda were less happy as they only got a sprinkling of snow. Jude was asking yesterday if Granny had any snow yet. We were able to send her plenty of pictures of it this morning!
She seems to be have a positive outlook despite the lack of snow - extra

Started de trimming the tree now Epiphany is here and will put it away tomorrow after one last night of lights to celebrate the coming of the kings. Not sure when the church tree will get taken down!

Take care everyone who is in the snow zone!
