New Year challenge
Hair appointment this morning in the village so I set out testing the drive and pavement for ice. Seemed OK so increased my stride and my legs went whoosh from under me and I landed on my back only yards from home!
I felt pretty silly but no one seemed to see me.
I’ve taken down and packed away a few decorations, I won’t do the tree till 12th night but I’ve made a start and then I’ve been sorting my music for next year for our start back at ATN community choir on Monday, a mammoth task and sitting and twisting to do it often sets off my backache. So both those tasks could be contributing to the aches I’m suffering at the moment or it could be the fall I had earlier!
I got the jigsaw out to photo for blip whilst the light was reasonable, it’s now getting dark so I probably won’t get any more done today. I got the Kaffe Fasset jigsaw, inspired by his fantastic floral quilts, last Christmas having visited his exhibition in Bath two summers ago. I’ve been putting off doing it but decided to start it over New year.
I’ve made a bit of progress since yesterday (extra) where largely only the main flower motifs had been completed. The borders of each motif are made up of more smaller flowers and diamonds. Often repeated around the man flowers they are a bit tricky to say the least!
So a silly jigsaw for the first silly Saturday of the year and an even sillier ‘a’ over ‘t’ fall from me!
Waiting to see what the weather brings tonight, Amber warnings all over the place.
