Frosty morning

The cold spell has arrived - minus something in the night but rising to 4 C during the day. It was a lovely cold crisp day.

This morning was the funeral of a member of one of the old village families nearby.  I drove down early to park near the church but there were already a hundred or more people there!  I did eventually find somewhere not far off.  The church was absolutely packed including every aisle where people were standing and there was a huge crowd outside, the service being relayed by loudspeaker.  In all 270 attended the service!  A really good send off.  I did not go to the wake held in the next village as parking would have been a nightmare again so came home.
