There and back
There was a light frost overnight, but by the time we were up it had mostly melted. We were off to Edinburgh to take Daughter Two home, as she had a lot more to take back than she'd brought with her on the train!
We set off before 9.30am and as we reached higher ground a little to the east of Oban, the verges became at first frosty, then snowy. As we drove eastwards and upwards the snow began to cover the landscape and the mist turned to fog. The scenery was quite dramatic, but fortunately the roads were fine. We paused in Callendar to have a cuppa - we parked down by the River Teith which was raging, and within a couple of centimetres of overflowing - my Blip today. I've been trying to come up with a title for my extra!
A quick lunch stop in Edinburgh then we set off home. A 250-mile round trip; we were back by 4.45, just in time to feed Rosie the cat!
