It has been a misty day, and the ground was icy first thing. I trod carefully on my walk.

Neil came round with his chainsaw to make a start on the big oak which had fallen last weekend. Enough wood to keep us warm for a few future winters, once it is split and seasoned...

I've been in sorting mood this afternoon, getting my cameras ready for nicer weather by charging batteries and emptying SD cards. I also bought a new solid state hard drive as I want to make sure my photo archive doesn't disappear.

I did some more knitting (this hat is progressing slowly) and listened to all the episodes of R4 Book of the Week, "Raising Hare" by Chloe Dalton. Beautiful.
