Manifold Way Walk
A long time since I’ve got together with my walking buddy for a proper walk in the Peak District. Despite my Achilles still giving me some problems I wanted to try it out on a proper walk.
We started from Waterhouses and headed out across fields in sunshine, though heavy clouds did seem to be rolling in from the northwest. Across to Grindon and then a descent on to the Manifold Way, an old railway line now resurfaced and a good option for a fast walk back to the car. It was really icy underfoot and we both almost came a cropper on the sheet ice in places.
A thoroughly enjoyable day, though my Achilles is definitely protesting this evening.
