Same Old Tree....
...If that tree ever dies or gets blown down, I do not know what I will do for those sunrise shots!
I got up really early this morning and seeing the possibility of an actual sunrise... dragged myself out to the car and down to the harbour. It was cold..really cold...and there was not much opportunity for a flashy, vibrant sunrise photo, so I took what photos I could and then concentrated on walking instead.
Walking on the boardwalk was a bit iffy as the frost on it made it slippery, but I was really careful and chose the frozen beach sand where possible. I did walk further this morning which is encouraging, but, yikes, I am so out of shape that it alarms me..
The rest of the day was spent in the great indoors... writing some catch-up letters, finishing some bureaucratic tasks and storing Christmas decor.
I finally began the dreaded task of taking down the tree...always a sad task. I ran out of energy before that was completed, but will get up early tomorrow to finish the job.
Tomorrow could be fun.
My friend Noreen of "Canceled Christmas Dinner" fame is trying once more. Last year, she had to cancel it three times what with Covid and flu and it never did happen. Once again, ever the optimist, she has invited the three of us to a New Year's lunch tomorrow and, believe it or not it still seems to be on! We shall see.....
