Wanting to be Monochrome

The festive bank holidays are behind us now, and the year begins in earnest. Luckily, the fact it’s doing that on a Thursday means that it is effectively only a two-day week… I’m counting all the small mercies!

Work has been busy, unsurprising after the bank holidays, but not too bad. I did have a late finish, though, which made the day feel extremely long. It was nice to curl up at home in the late evening with a coffee and a bowl of hearty soup for supper.

The rain has gone today, and the fog, replaced by mostly clear skies and a few clouds, with a cold wintery sun. I found today’s blip on the outskirts of Canterbury, with a view across the fields and along Appledown Way… and I could tell the image really wanted to be monochrome from the start.
