Having looked at the forecast earlier in the week today was earmarked for a walk. The choice was coast or hills, we opted for the former and had a great walk from Kingsbarns to Boarhills and back, a bit under 8 miles in all.
As you can see it was sunny, it was also very cold as the temperature was just above freezing but with a northerly breeze.
Having wrapped up we were able to stop to watch the birds - 23 different species seen - but it was too cold to change the lens to a longer one so the birds aren't very obvious. There's an extra from the den running from near Boarhills to the sea, making it a vary varied walk (though not much hill!).
There's an excellent food "van" (it's like a small container and has been there a few years, originally selling toasties) where we had tasty burgers and chips. We had taken sandwiches as we didn't know if it would be open (if the wind is strong and in the wrong direction they can't cook) but we brought them home for later.
Home just before sunset and I finished the cadigan I've been knitting and Mr Rat finished his jigsaw.
More days like this would be very welcome!
