WALKING

My walking buddy and I managed to get our January walk in. Didn’t manage 5k but did 3k in 50mins so a fair pace and out challenge is just to get out for a decent walk each month. Sunny and chilly by the lake.

However our day started out less calm… last minute sort out before house viewing; which went well. Then Dan (my sort of FIL) called The Rev to say I want to go into a hospice I’m so ill.
Within an hour The Rev had the rapid response team in with the respiratory team close behind. Long story short…he now has a better oxygen supply, antibiotics, has eaten and has moved in with us for a few days while they work out a support package for him. His relatives drove down from Milton Keynes to check on him. (It also feels like checking we are looking after him enough!!!!) He has just said he feels 100% better.

Went to see my dear friend E whose husband died suddenly a week ago. I went armed with homemade onion soup. Her favourite… made her cry! Lots of hugs, tears and a few swear words. She’s very angry today. Completely understandable.

Sadly no US activity today!!!
I’ll meet him in bed.
