Go for it Nathaniel!
Ailie called round in a bit of a panic to see if I could help her check her NZ visa as she couldn’t get the phone app to load. I suggested the obvious turning her phone off and on. That worked but then we found her visa had expired in October and we couldn’t find out how to renew it. All I could think of was phoning Trailfinders who did her tickets and they helped her get sorted. She’s all set for 2 months in her house near her daughter in NZ. I’ll miss her.
Mr C went to the physio as he’s had a “few twinges” since his skiing falls, then we went to town to take the 11th birthday cake to Nathaniel. He’d got headphones for the Nintendo switch he bought with his acting earnings so was very excited to be able to play the game with his friends (who were coming in an hour for a sleepover - Ella was escaping to stay with a friend and their dad was going to sleep at his sisters so he’d be ok to get up for his work shift. No choice for daughter). He got some One Piece cards to feed his current obsession - he was excited when in South Africa they drove past the pirate ship set for one of the films. We got him the Mytholigica book which is beautiful but his interest in Greek gods has been superseded by Manga.
After we had cake and coffee Mr C and I went to get the metro into town to get a last minute gift for #2 daughter’s Christmas. However the metro wasn’t running and we’d just missed a replacement bus so we decided just to go home.
Chris called to go through a few things about the work he’s going to do in the bathroom. He has to remove all our avocado suite to tile and put in the shower etc. but if the suite is damaged it’s at our cost to replace it. I do hope it survives not just because of the cost but also because I’m attached to it. He can’t do the work till February or March - and the conservatory is also scheduled for March.
