To the quilt store, then
finding my favourite stop
- my breakfast sandwich
~carliewired
I was up having my coffee before 6, then I dithered. Where would I like to go this morning?
I made Grandma Jo's the first stop. I haven't been in this quilt shop this season, so I thought I could find some fabric for a birthday gift. It took no time at all to find some lovely batiks for a friend and some pieces for me, too.
Second stop was the Arizona Marketplace. I wandered a bit with my camera then stopped at the takeout window for my breakfast sandwich.
The antique shop had a rather bedraggled old doll that reminded me of the one my Mother had as a child.
I am always attracted to the metal art that comes up from Mexico. It is painted in autobody paint so it is bright, shiny and sun-resistant. I see it in people's yards and on the Mexican brick fences around yards.
I was home again by 11 so I have lots of time to play this afternoon.
