Today's the day ....................... to see the light

In common with most of the British Isles today, a gloriously blue and sunny day.  And something that has been missing for what seems like weeks - lots of light to take pictures by.

Will and I couldn't resist walking round our favourite route, starting from the front door.  This is the view looking across the River Dee to Carse Mote, thought to be an Iron Age hill fort, with its fine beech trees, glinting in the sun.  Then we crossed the Old Tongland Bridge and carried on up the hill past High Boreland Farm (see extra).  Then it was down the hill, past the Carse Mote on the opposite side to the main road - and home.

It was shiveringly cold all the way, despite the sun - but so good to be out on a proper sunny, winter's day, breathing in the fresh air and taking full advantage of the light .........................
