Davos Lake
As forecast today we had low cloud cover with flat light. We decided to go for a walk around Davos Lake, it's an easy 4km walk with beautiful views. At this time of year the car park at the lake is closed off as the military use it when controlling access in and out of Davos, for the forthcoming World Economic Forum. I can see why they choose Davos as a suitable location for the WEF as there is one road in and out of the town so it is easy to set up controlled security here.
The walk was very pleasant, it felt colder today but was not bad. This is the view across the lake which was very low, as they use water from this lake to pump up the mountain to make snow. The snow is starting to look a bit thin but thankfully there is a snowfall forecast for tonight.
After our walk we went to get a few things at the supermarket in Davos and had lunch at Kaffee Klatch, a favourite cafe.
Later this afternoon I met two friends in the village for coffee. Tommy and their sons have been friends for many years, since nursery school, so we have known each other for a long time.
In extras, some pink snow - there was a very pink sunrise this morning, and this is what it looked like at about 15 minutes before the sun rose - the colour has not been adjusted.
Another lovely quiet night at home tonight, waiting for the snow to arrive.
