End of the day

We stayed the night in a Travelodge which was comfortable enough before joining our daughter-in-law‘s parents for brunch. We drove cautiously as there had been a very hard frost and the road was icy. In the afternoon we drove on to Manchester to join our son and family and went for a walk along the canal before the sunset. There was flooding in the park but It had largely subsided and we were able to get around it.
