Picnic at Rendlesham

A scorching hot day today. We took a picnic to Rendlesham Forest. It was quite shaded under all the trees which really helped us cope with the high temperatures.

After a long forest walk we drove to Woodbridge mid afternoon to go ten pin bowling again, mainly to keep out of the sun! C won the game this time, I thought it would be nice to let him win for a change :-)

When we returned to the cottage this evening we discovered a snake had shed it's skin right on the steps down to the garden from the veranda. Much excitement trying to find the snake who obviously lives here right under our noses. We are taking the snake skin home with us as a souvenir.
