Stretching squirrel
Since we extended the height of the bird feeder pole, I've not seen any raiders on the feeders. I was surprised to see this one. He was frustrated because all my feeders are spring loaded and close under a squirrel's weight. He was performing some impressive stretches and contortions in order to get the best angle of attack. I worked out later that he's learned how to launch himself onto the pole from a nearby compost bin.
We had a slow start to the day. We hadn't planned a run as the weather forecast was so bad. In the end it was very gusty but not rainy first thing.
We had Bucks Fizz with T and J accompanied by croissants for a late breakfast and then did our own things for the rest of the day.
A gentle start to 2025.
