The First

Thank you for all your kind words and comments on yesterday’s blip, they were all very much appreciated!

2025 was off to a fairly slow inauspicious start for me. The wee ones were returned to their mother with The Youngest again really not wanting to go, but she’ll soon be back with me on Friday.

Following a quick check-in and brew with the parents, I then set to work on the de-Christmassing the house. I know it’s soon, but it’s the best chance I have of doing it without the wee ones “helping” and besides, I was even able to dust!! Remember: ”slow, inauspicious start”…..

Unfortunately for her, a friend was bed-ridden with something awful, so I popped over to feed her children and later on when I was in need of some fresh air, they came with me for a little walk and kick about. Fortunately, my friend had already prepped some tea a couple of days before, so they warmed that up and ate it whilst watching the Brentford/Arsenal match.

Once they were back home, I did a little more tidying up and crashed out in front of Disclaimer on Apple TV. Thoroughly enjoyed it and thought Cate Blanchett was excellent as ever. Harrowing, but definitely worth a look.

Another friend had mentioned that she was on Aurora watch and gave me some pointers on how to photograph it, so here’s my effort from standing on my metal bed frame whilst poking the phone out the skylight!
