Red sky in the morning

and like the shepherd predicted, the weather went down hill from this start.

The wind was ferocious in the afternoon and into the evening so the major event for me on New Years Eve was that we lost the power again at around 4pm - I had the last power loss event in mind when it didn’t get restored until late morning the following day so I was gearing up for a long night. Fortunately that didn’t happen and it was off for about 2 hours with a few more short outages to follow.

I have a camping lantern that my brother brought for my mum and I’ve been promising to buy myself another and kept putting it off so I must get on with it.  They sell them in Go Outdoors, which is only a couple of miles away.
