snow settled on the - land overnight and left - clouds for most of - the day leading me to think - my traditional first sunset - of the year wasn’t going - to happen at all - but at the last minute - there was a breaking of those - clouds with color saturating them - in reds and yellows as only abba - has the ability to do - they settled over the peak - in a dazzling swirl and hesitated - yet only momentarily but fortunately - i was waiting so it was - a snap, snap to capture - then i watched in amazement - as it all disappeared very quickly - into nothingness so you’d never - guess there had been - a sunset at all

it’s both the beauty - and mystery of sunsets - how abba paints them in the sky for - us to enjoy every day - i will continue to capture - them in this new year - reflecting on how gracious - our heavenly father is to bestow - such nightly love pats on us - so we can always enjoy…
