Busy bee

Well not that busy but working on my day off so busy enough. I had agreed to do some extra hours today, all non-patient related. And then I worked out that the extra time and cost involved in getting to work would net me such a paltry figure that it was hardly worth it. And that's before I converted it to a overall hourly rate. That would have been too depressing.

Still the work needed doing and I needed the money so luckily I was able to persuade them of the merits of me doing it on my computer at home. Thankfully.

A trip to the allotment yielded more fennel, a solitary but massive courgette and loads more raspberries. Maybe one more smaller collection of raspberries to come and then it should be time for the blackberries being pollinated here.

The allotment is currently a bit of a lucky dip. We inherited it mid-season with a lot of plants in situ so who knows what will result. We think we have loganberries too but we'll just have to wait and see.

A trip to my favourite pub (well one of them but it'd be very high on the list if I was forced to choose at gunpoint) rounded off the evening nicely.

Oh and in exciting news my new camera budget has a whopping £5 in it! I may be struggling on with my phone for a while yet but the fact it's got anything in after last month is a miracle. Little acorns and all that.
