New Year in Newhall

Got the sickest one out for a walk, think it did her good, but still not great, poor girl. As for last night, in this house, we were all in bed way before midnight - think it might be the first time I haven't seen the New Year in since I was a child. And was sorry to miss the prayer time at our church. But was exhausted, and the early night did me/us a world of good.

The rest of us, plus inlaws and friends, took over most of one of the screens in Sutton's refurbished cinema, to see Mufasa. Impressed with the refurb - settees with cushions (!) to sit on, and glasses of wine while you watch. Film had amazing graphics and some deep truths, but not a patch on its predecessor. 

Gratefuls:
- that Mike's cough is getting better and hasn't kept me awake at night
- meeting Sue, a lovely lady who lives on the streets, and loves my daughter
- getting both desserts for tomorrow almost done
