The old year comes to an end today!

This happy angel flies around in the winter sunlight playing music to welcome the New Year.
We are happy we have Claire and Rose sharing our New Years Eve and the events of today and tomorrow.
There were walks in the sun, made chilly by a biting wind, and of course good food and drink. Time spent in front of the wood stove enjoying the warmth and the light of the flames, and time spent in the kitchen, preparing and eating a delightful Chicken dinner with the trimmings.
We struggled slightly to make it to midnight, but the fireworks our neighbours fired off seemed to enliven us and suddenly it was 1:30 and definitely time for bed.
