New Year an Birthday 2025

A lovely winter's day.  Mostly sunny and blue skies, with snow showers passing over.  The wind is baltic.  I missed a stunning display of Northern Lights around teatime. 

A very lazy morning and start to the new year.  A tidy around the house after the celebrations from last night.  Headed out walkies with Sammy.  A lazy afternoon watching movies, much the same tonight.  

A fine number of friends and family arrived along the house last night, just before the bells.  We took in the new year with the telly, everyone with a dram for a toast.  Not just the new year celebrations, also my 44th birthday celebrations today too.  Not long after, friend Robert Duthie arrived, he was my first foot.  The gang just after midnight, Hawthorn Cottage, Houl Road, Scalloway.
