Happy New Year from us to you!

The weather recently has been mild but dull and dreary, and today was no exception, and we’d had quite a lot of rain overnight. The weather pattern however is about to change, with next week bringing us frigid temperatures, though hopefully more sun! This morning I had a long overdue hair appointment - I’d tried getting an appointment before Christmas, but I’d left it too late and she was fully booked. Other than that I spent the day at home, doing my Duolingo Spanish, some reading and knitting, as well as getting a couple of loads of laundry in -:lots of sheets and towels to wash after seven of us in the house! In the evening I fixed us a joint of ham for dinner, then we watched the movie Thelma, switching to the TV for the New Year entertainment leading up to the ball dropping in Times Square.
