Rockin Robin

WE got this "Robin" many years ago because we found it amusing.  Knock it and it wobbles for a very long time.  My plan was to get a shot of the movement as you can guess the plan didn't work.  I got no shot of movement that I liked so you get a static robin.

Robins are associated with Christmas because Victorian postmen had red uniforms leading to the nickname "Robin's".  Christmas Cards began to be popular around the 1870s when printing improvements made them reasonable and available.  Designers started to show postmen delivering on the cards.  The rest as they say is history.
