Crown and Anchor

A little bit of gambling (with 1p coins) to celebrate New Years Eve.  My grandad used to have bags and bags of 1p coins and at Christmas we would play Crown and Anchor and Chase the Ace.  My sister Paula has the same set and we all had fun playing.  We also played Just One and 5 second rule. It was fun.  It's 23:11 and I'm exhausted so might be asleep my midnight.

I'm proud of myself this year but I am glad it's over.  I started the year having just had my third dose of the trial drug (DatoDXD) and shortly after was admitted to hospital for 5 nights.  I thought they would kick me off the trial, but they didn't and I finally made it to the final (8th dose) in July.  

My consultant recently said that of all the ladies he has put forward for the trial, I am the first to make it to the end.  That comment made a lot to me as not many people realise how gruelling it was but he understands.  I was determined to do as much as I possibly could to beat this disease and I end the year cancer free, long may that last.  

So for 2025 I hope for good health, to manage my stress and work life balance better, and to enjoy the small things.
